Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Went to watch the movie last night.

Show was very smooth with no climax at all... killed all my expectations of a good movie... but nonetheless, the special effects are really nice!

By the time I reached home, its already 12:15am!!! Had to quickly shower and go to bed or else I'll become a panda the next morning.

Room temperature is lower than usual. Brrrrrr.... I felt like I could need an extra blanket. Anyway, its the rainy season I guess, that's why the rain just won't go away...

Yesterday was Jennifer's birthday, and what a coincidence, Rebecca & Karen were born on the same day too!!! We had a team lunch at this Cafe Bar opposite the Afro Asia Building. Heard that Fann Wong's little sister worked part-time there. The food is not bad, but after leaving the place, I smell like the "Sin Po Po Chicken" which I've eaten!! We gave Jen a big bag of foodstuff - the "Emergency Food Ration Pack"- since she gets hungry easily.

Seems that the HDB Flats in Seng Kang & Punggol are not fit for living. Jen is on urgent leave today because something happened to her living room tiles!! There were cracks and it looks like a tsunamis just hit them!!! Due to its proximity to the sea, and because of the weather changes, cracks in the walls and floor tiles are common in Seng Kang & Punggol for these few days... hmm... should call the NEW PAPER hotline or LIANHE WANBAO or SHIN MIN to report the news! haha....

Yawnzzzzzzz.... Melissa came to have lunch with me and Joan just now. We went to this Thai restaurant - Tuk Tuk. Mel wanted to find out more about the job openings for MEC and Joan told her what to expect. She's going to send her resume to Joan, so hopefully, she can move out of her current job which is really 'stagnant'.

OBS 18 Nov 2005

was late, as usual, for the OBS. We had to wait for her and Joan at the ferry terminal at Punggol End. Well... how can you expect someone who always turns up for work at around 10am to be punctual?? She is only punctual for DRINKING sessions, I am afraid. And I think it runs in the blood? 'cos she told me before that her dad ferried her to work as he's working around our office. So does that mean her dad is not a punctual person as well? Or does her dad own the company to be able to go in at a time of his preference?

Anyway, the training was quite cool. Our trainer is Cui'E. She's quite a nice person. The first game we had was to find a person we're not very familiar with and tell them 3 things - Nickname, Personal self and Unknown self. I went to Jen Chong since she's new and found out that her nickname was "skinny" (becos of her frame), and she loved sports. She's very outgoing and loves to do things that make her perspire. But she doesn't like going to the gym as she thinks its too 'air-conditioned'. We didn't really have time to go through our Unknown self but she told me there's nothing unknown about her. After that, we're supposed to resume the identity of the person whom we've just traded 'secrets' and look for another person. I looked for Wendy Tan who resumed the role of Joan. Haha... Joan's nickname was "Mui Suan" or "Dao Suan" cos her dialect name is Han Mui Suan. Then her hates cats, can't even stand the picture of a cat! No wonder she freaked out when Diana bought us a 'farewell card' with a picture of a cute cat on it! Then she couldn't make coffee or milo... ermm... that's quite an open secret!

That "Kiam Pa Face" said something like "I really really like music though I don't play in the band". Hahahaha... is that sentence directing at me? Well... I know a lot of people who really really like music too, but too bad she's not musically-inclined lor... and some of the comments she made really sounded 'kiam pa' too. Like, when we were doing the Helium Hoop project. She said the person to the left is not supportive... didn't bother to keep a lookout for her... but did she do that to the person on her right? And what's that statment about TRUST? ERmm... I dun trust her to make such a comment when she doubts everybody and everything and thinks she's the BEST of the BEST. Anyway, if she's so keen to keep a lookout for the person beside her, then she should go and be a traffic police and direct traffic at a busy cross-road junction! The cars' honking could be GREAT music to her ears too judging from the trashy things she listened to.

The Helium Hoop is really a big challenge because it may look like a simple task but its hard to bring the hoop down... like the name "helium hoop", it just keeps getting up! But we managed to do it after struggling hard... Phew!

The next game was Punching The Numbers. We couldn't imagine how fast we were disqualified for the first 2 rounds! We were disqualified during the first round because we had to do a brisk walk from the start line to the numbers, but we ran instead. In the second round, Jen Chong hit the key pad with Joan at the same time which is against the rules, and hence we were disqualified. For the 3rd round, we got a record of 49 seconds! So we tried for another round and managed to do it within 29 seconds! YEAH!! Got improvement lah!

After that, we had this Raft Escape Game. All 17 of us had to cross a toxic river on a pathetic raft. If anyone's legs touched the ground, we would be handicapped - blind, mute, or physically disabled. We had to complete it within 30 minutes! OOPs... that's a huge challenge... I fell off the raft because Miss Keng nearly fell on me! and she's really very heavy! Anyway, we got the hang of it after a while, to take the bricks and planks from the back and passed it to the front so as to progress towards the safety zone. However, we couldn't complete it on time and asked for extra time... but we were only allowed 15mins extra... still, we MISSED and PERISHED in the toxic river... ha ha ha

We had lunch for 45mins. Lunch was slightly better than Breakfast. After lunch, we proceeded to the hall and had some warm-up. We played the "BLOW WIND BLOW" game. After that, we had to use our body to pass the rope around. Played this game before. Had a slight backache during this game. Heng Shufen is behind me and gave me a massage... Miss Keng had some difficulty as she kept getting entangled... Well... but she very garang at the last game which is the TUNNEL as she forced herself to test her limit and got scratches on her elbows. Those who got had a chance to be in the centre shouting "BLOW WIND BLOW" had to do their forfeit - the chicken dance.

After the entanglement, we had to FIND OUR TREE but being blindfolded. Well, its quite scary thinking of Blind leading the Blind. And we had to climb up a flight of steps, and walk down the grass patch or slopes, and risk bumping into lamp posts or tripped by roots of trees... But we managed to find out tree in less than 30 mins! PHEW!

In the last game, we had to do something equivalent to the 'cu chi tunnel'. This is pitch black! I had to opt out as its not very friendly to my back.

It was a fun experience on the whole and the chocolate muffins for tea break are SO DELICIOUS!!!! and the siew mai too!!! Yum Yum!

And that's the first time I reached home at 6:30pm!! COOL!!
