Marmalade Pantry

Had lunch with 2 salespeople from ChannelNewsAsia today at Marmalade Pantry in Palais Renaissance.

Yummy! Yum Yum!

Firstly, I had the parsnip & sweet potato soup. I think the bread is quite nice compared to the soup... but as I was too hungry, I finished the whole bowl!!! We also ordered a "Fresh Feta Salad with braised artichokes & garlic couscous" and the "crab caesar salad". The latter is more delicious than the first! Yummy!!

I ordered the "Salmon Teriyaki with Chilled Soba". Tasted great!! Simple yet delicious! And I think its a healthier choice compared to the others who ordered "Risotto with roast eggplant artichokes & zucchini", "linguini with crabmeat tomato chilli & peanuts", "the ultimate beef buger" and Miss Keng who sat beside me had "Softshell crab".

After that we still had room for dessert!!! I ordered the "Apple & Rhubarb Crumble". Its so heavenly!!!!! Jenn ordered the "sticky date toffee pudding with vanilla bean ice cream". Tastes good but not as good as my "Apple & Rhubarb Crumble".

I felt so full after the lunch!!

The company's great! Ivan & Bryan are very farnie! And we had our eyes "Sore" watching "Cracks" in womens' pants! haha.... how crude! but its the truth!

YES!! Today is the last working day in 2005!!! My office is closed tomorrow. Phew! Can go to the Expo and buy books from the TIMES BOOKSHOP FAIR!!!

I look forward to good sleep tonight! Weather is very cooling lately and that has cause the room temperature to go down at night (Even without opening the windows!!!) Hope I dun fall sick! I want to enjoy my new year holidays!!!!

Plastic People

The society nowadays not only uses plastic money but is filled with PLASTIC PEOPLE and I am not talking about the invasion of Barbie Dolls, Bratz, or even Action Heroes like Batman or Spiderman!

Yesterday evening, as I was about to leave home from work, this colleague of mine started to complain about her workload. Since she's so vocal, can't she make any noise to prevent herself from drowning in her pile of work? It's like she's trying to make all of us feel small and ashamed of ourselves because we only handle certain sets of accounts and can go home around 8pm! Well, if she needs help, she can ask for it! I'm sure our boss will make arrangements to send her help. But I got a feeling she just want to get into the boss' good books, hence, she tries to take on everything! And blame the others for not VOLUNTEERING to help! Hmmm... at the end of the day when the company gives out attractive bonuses, her grouse would be "My team works the hardest and the others just sit and reap the rewards!"

Somehow I'm very sick of such remarks.

And this 'neighbour' of mine who always has an opinion of her own is always faking illness after having too much fun during the holiday season. She reported sick yesterday but when she came in this morning at 9:45am, she don't sound sick at all!!! Not even signs of flu... gastric... or whatever illness she claims she has!! And if the fact is true that you get stomache when your stomache is empty, I know why she gets migraine so often (cos her head is empty!)

Miss Keng is the happiest of all, cos she was granted her leave yesterday afterall...

Christmas came and went...

New Year is approaching. And I really hope that the seating arrangement for next year in the new office is not such that I have to sit beside Miss Keng and that Kiampa Face for they will spoil the best of moods & the best of sceneries!!!
