The Past Week

Celebrated YS' birthday on 8th November... met at The Cathay to watch "Bee Movie" first before adjorning to Dempsey for dinner at OOSH.
The movie was very exaggerating... how could a bee sue the human population and won the verdict?? The ironic part is where Winnie the Pooh & Piglet were innocently standing by the woods and Pooh was shot because he was a bear who feasted on honey, a product that the bees are very proud of.

Ambience at OOSH was nice... food was okay... but the price was a bit steep...

After dinner, we went to Holland Village, and settled at a cafe to have desserts, some wedges and drinks! OMG!! I felt like a glutton!!! The macha cheesecake made my fact twisted cos the green tea powder was too thick! It made the cheesecake so bitter!! YUCKS!

Anyway, this year, we will miss YS in action during christmas as she had to be outstationed for 3 months from 11th November 07 onwards... hope the situation in that country where she's going to is safe from war!

We gave her a lot of books this year!! An origami set.... a Notebook.... and not forgetting a Drinking Game Card Set... Hopefully she can come back soon!!!

On Saturday, I met up with her to watch "Stardust" as many people who watched it all said its a nice show. I thought the show was okay only... maybe my expectations were too high since everyone said so... I think Robert De Niro was very farnie... the gay-ish 'Captain Shakespeare". Michelle Pfeiffer still looked good even though she's aged quite a fair bit... The spirits of the brothers who vied for the throne were quite funny, though!

Best part is there's the 'clay doll' witchcraft that Michelle Pfeiffer performed on that Prince! Just when we thought this was so 'chinese"...

After which we met Wallis & her friend for dinner at the TCC in Millenia Walk... we had fun talking about the hairdressers coming in and out of KR beside us... maybe we were a tad too loud... oops....

I bought a Phillip Starck with Fossil watch on Sat.... spent about S$250 on the timepiece... I've always been looking around for a watch that I really like... this one was 'love at first sight'. Furthermore, there's 15% storewide discount for UOB credit card holders... hehehe.....

Then we went to East Coast, and XL met us at the Hong Kong Cafe for supper... the XO Carrot Cake was quite yummy! Its crispy, and the taste was not too oily.

Sigh.... YS is gone for 3 months... YY is going to bomb in Jan... this year's christmas is going to be very silent.....
