XL's birthday sabotage

Haha....

We celebrated XL's birthday on 31st May since its a public holiday (VESAK DAY).

Luckily the night before, YY & YS were available for some last-minute planning. YY broke the good news!! She's pregnant!!! 5 weeks to be exact!! So happy for her! : )

Anyway, we decided to rope in Wallis' help. She'll be the 'game master' for the day.

We planned a mini 'Amazing Race' for our friend who is a die-hard Amazing Race fan. She even wanted to 'jio' us to participate in the Asian leg, but, don't think most of us were able to entertain her because of our work commitments.

The race was to begin at the 'empty grass patch beside 7th storey hotel'. We had initially painted a story to make her believe that we'll be bringing her up the DHL Balloon for a ride since she mentioned that she was quite keen to take that ride... but in the end, YS,YY & I did not turn up! haha... instead, Wallis was supposed to pick her up, pass her the clue cards, and help to take pictures of her completing the tasks.

The tasks we set out for her were quite simple since we were afraid she would lose her temper, or too shy to complete them and then walk away with the $$$$$ and go home....

Luckily she wasn't angry, and she was actually quite happy and excited about it! : )

We ignored her calls.... SMSes...... and Wallis was really very helpful by bringing her around to complete the tasks...

The first task was to ask her to buy some items - Anti-Ageing Body Lotion (NIVEA), Dental Floss & Loreal RevitaLift Anti-wrinkle cream. Actually, these items were her birthday presents! haha... we had actually saved our time and made her buy her own presents instead! Bingo!

Next, we decide to treat the Royal Highness as our maid, asking her to run errands for us. I made her buy Peggy Hsu's latest album, but we were not supposed to give her direct instructions. Instead, we had to give her clues and made she sure bought the right stuff, or else she had to do additional tasks as forfeits!

YY asked for "Anything", "Whatever" and a packet of Blue corn chips. Surprisingly, "Antyhing" and "Whatever" were sold out almost everywhere!!! They only found it in Carrefour, and it wasn't open for sale yet. She bought "blue potato chips" instead of "corn chips" so we punished her with one last task later.

YS asked for durian puffs! hahaha..... Our royal highness was afraid of DURIANS!!! It must have got into her nerves!! hahaha

The last task was to put on the SHREK ears and take 9 different poses. This was very simple!

After completing these simple tasks, she was supposed to guess where we were. Before that, she had to go to the Fountain of Wealth in Suntec and go around in 3 times in clockwise direction and put her hand into the water to get good luck. We were at NYDC cafe, so we could see very clearly if she really went 3 rounds or not. hahaha.... so hilarious!

Our final treat for her was SHREK 3. I was quite disappointed with SHREK 3 as its not very farnie... I can count with my fingers at how many scenes made me laugh!

Next year, we have more exciting plans for her 30th Birthday ; ) haha.... and she felt so traumatised this year!
