Historic Moment - 28th September 2008

This was a historic moment for Singapore as it held the first F1 Night Race in the bustling CBD district on 28th September 2008.

Stunning race with crashes, as well as unexpected results.

Alonso was crowned the champion for the Singapore leg, followed by Rosberg (Williams) & Hamilton (Mercedes McLaren). I feel happy for Rosberg as RBS sponsored the AT&T Williams team. Have to admit that this young chap has potential. Also, Alonso turned his ill fate around as he was 15th in the Qualifying Race on Saturday due to some errors in his engine, but thank God he managed to beat all odds and emerged as the champion.

What I really felt bad about wat Kimi Raikkonen crashed in the last 4 laps of the race!!!! Poor Massa made a huge blunder during refuelling as well, where precious time was wasted when he had to wait for his team to help him get the fuel hose which was still attached to his race car when he saw the green light that signified "GO".

Anyway, this was really a significant moment for Singapore. By the way, the Singtel Grid Girls looked HORRIBLE!!!!
